About IMARC
The International Mining and Resources Conference + Expo (IMARC) is one of the world’s leading mining industry events, bringing together global leaders, government, suppliers and innovators to shape the future of mining. For Volvo Group Australia, the 2025 IMARC event represented an opportunity to establish presence in the mining sector, showcase capability and explore new business conversations in a highly competitive environment.
The brief
Volvo Group Australia engaged Onyx Agency to design and deliver a standout exhibition presence for their first appearance at IMARC, bringing together Volvo Bus, Volvo Penta and Volvo Construction Equipment under one unified brand experience. The stand needed to confidently position Volvo within the mining and resources sector, hero large-scale machinery, ensure seamless visitor engagement and safely integrate significant industrial equipment within a complex exhibition environment, all while aligning with Volvo’s sustainability principles through intelligent reuse of existing materials and assets.
The solution
Onyx Agency designed a 9m x 9m three sided open stand that heroed Volvo’s mining capability through two key machines: a Volvo FMX flatbed truck fitted with a Volvo Penta pump, and a Volvo L120H wheel loader, positioned to maximise visibility and safe visitor flow within the footprint. Existing stand elements, were carefully reconfigured and reused to support Volvo’s sustainability focus while still delivering a polished, group-led brand presence.
